Hello! So recently I purchased a Predator Helios Neo 16 and am loving it. The only issue I have been having is related to connecting my external monitor to it. My monitor is an Acer Nitro 180 hz model #KG241YS. Initially I connected a DP to USB-C cable and everything was fine except whenever I would restart the laptop or wake it up from sleep it wouldn't recognize the external monitor and I would have to replug in the DP cable or USB-C or go into the settings on the laptop and sync it back up. I tried for hours to fix this, but was unable to. I ended up buying an HDMI 2.0 cable and while I am no longer having the issue with the monitor connecting on restart or waking up from sleep I am only getting 150 fps according to ufo test and fpstest. My monitor via windows settings is set to 180hz and via nvidia control panel it is also set to 180hz. I am under the impression HDMI 2.0 is capable of 240hz on the 1080p resolution I am using. If anyone has any insight on this please help. Thank you!

Leave your connection to your PHN16-71 laptop that you have as it is, with its HDMI® 2.1 port with HDCP support (Data throughput Up to 16.7 million colors) like it is as there is not much difference between 150Hz and 180Hz refresher rates, it must be a monitor issue and not from your laptop. I'm using my Nitro AN515-56 laptop HDMI 2.0 port (Data Thoroughput: 18Gbit/s(TMDS) connected to an external Dell 32" curved 165Hz refresher rate monitor with the Dell supplied oem HDMI 2.0 cable and I'm getting 165Hz refresher rate at 1920x1080p resolution.

Note: HDMI 2.1 cables can handle up to 120 Hz when using 4K resolution and 60 Hz when using 8K resolution. Lower resolutions than 4K can all handle up to 240 Hz when using an HDMI 2.1 cable. The maximum refresh rate of HDMI 2.0 is 240 Hz when using 1080p resolution, 144 Hz when using 1440p resolution, and 60 Hz when using 4K resolution. Also read this guide "HDMI 2.1 specs and features: Everything you need to know" good luck and hope this helps you out.
