My Acer Aspire 7 A715-42G does not let me connect the RTX 3050 Ti GPU to a monitor, and is only able to connect via the Integrated graphics, is there a way to fix this or do I have to return this monitor? I have tried everything, disabling the integrated graphics, changing 3D display settings etc.

Have you set the games and high end software to the NVidia high-performance processor in Nvidia Control Panel? As that is what you need to do. The RTX3050 is not used all the time as these laptops are set for the integrated graphics do to all the donkey work and the and when the high end graphics are required your dedicated gpu is used which and when its on battery, uses allot of battery power hence and why these settings are set like that by manufacturers.

    Check these issues:

    1. Driver issues: If the drivers for your GPU are outdated or corrupted, it can cause issues with performance.
    2. Unoptimized games: Some games may not be optimized for your hardware, which can cause performance issues.
    3. CPU/GPU bottlenecks: If your CPU is not powerful enough, it can cause a bottleneck and limit the performance of your GPU.
    4. Wrong game settings: If the game settings are too high, it can put a strain on your GPU and CPU.

@StevenGen Apparently there was no problem, my laptop automatically switched to the correct GPU when playing heavier games, I only tested it on Minecraft and that only used the integrated graphics, but on for example Ark everything worked correctly. Thanks for the answer though!
