I've got acer the acer aspire 7 A715-75G-57H8 Laptop.

This has 8GB of Ram at the moment and i want to upgrade it.

How many ram slots are there in this laptop and which ones would be fit for my device?

Do i also need to swap over some documents or personal belongings when i switch out the ram?

Thanks in advance!

No need to swap your documents but make sure you shut down completely, disable Hibernate and Fast Startup and disconnect your battery first. There are two SODIMM slots for a total of 32GB at CAS Latency CL22, the Crucial 32GB Kit (2 x 16GB) DDR4-3200 SODIMM - DDR4-3200 • CL=22 • NON-ECC • SODIMM • 260-pin • 1.2V • 2Rx8/1Rx8 • PC4-25600 is recommended in the community. You can also upgrade to 16GB total RAM with 2x8GB, for most applications that is more than sufficient. If you just want to add 8GB module to the existing 1x8GB module, get exactly the same specifications so it will run in Dual Channel mode, if both slots are filled with 2x4GB replace those with 2x8GB DDR4 modules, a Kit like recommended on the Crucial site for your model.
