We can't advise you on any verification of the SHA256 hash, contact Acer Tech Support as they can advise you on the HashTab from their side or they will send that to you. Its against community rules to advise on anything related to bios that can brick a system. Good luck

Also be aware that the L version of the BIOS only has Linux enhancements over the non-L version. So if you are already running P11.B4 there is no reason to change.

Since I am already running linux how do I contact Acer Tech support ? Is there a phone number?

I have already told you in a post about the BIOS not updting and providing an error in which another member on this forum had. I run Linux billsey.

I am interested in speaking to support as I though this forum would provide answers.

But it does not have a verification method for SHA of there firmware?

Scrolling down does not direct me to any specific verification of firmware.

You contact support through their website. It doesn't matter what OS you are running when using their site.

Well first thing first, can do update to P11.B4 (non L).

It is a 10 year old computer, they won't know anything.

It is also a Intel microcode update, which you can do it inside linux. An example of this is redhat patching intel microcodes for various meltdown variants. Find the corresponding intel microsode for M0C30678831.

If Acer feels that a 10 year Acer computer is no longer valid for providing firmware updates then they should delete all firmware information regarding old computers and state no support.

Since Acer has not done this and the firmware is still present I would expect a simple SHA hash calculation to verify BIOS should be easy to provide from Acer for their Firmware.
