When I plug my acer nitro into a usb c dock, it immedialy removes all sound. "says no sound devices"

I bought a new acer nitro laptop 2 days ago. However, when I plug it into my usb c dock, it immediate tells me there are no sound devices installed. When I disconnect it, it will work. I have scoured online, but don't see any solutions. It's the Windows Audio service, it's not running, when I start it, I get sound for a split second, then quiet. And even though it says it's running I can start it again, same thing.

Event viewer shows a 7081 error "the windows audio service terminated unexpectedly" I tried updating the drivers, installing windows updates, disabling my hdmi monitor audio drivers. Nothing works. When I plug my old pos laptop in there are no problems. Any help would be appreciated, or a recommendation on a multi monitor dock that this won't happen with?

Have you checked if your USB-C port has Thunderbolt? Nitro 5 AN515-43 AMD does not have Thunderbolt.

So this didn't work, but I did find out the problem. My Boss found some obscure post where some webcams when plugged into a dock or the laptop cause all the sound devices to be disabled. As soon as I disconnected the webcam everything started work. Now why it does this I have no clue. I need to find a new webcam now for work, but it's fixed.
