My Acer Predator Helios 300 Gaming Laptop Specs:

Intel i7-10750H,
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop GPU,
15.6" Full HD 144Hz 3ms IPS Display,
16GB DDR4,
512GB NVMe SSD,
WiFi 6,
RGB Keyboard,
PH315-53-71HN

The driver named in the Subject Line above is available (directly from Intel) for updating the graphics driver on my Acer Helios 300 Predator. However, I'm not sure if I should install this update

Has anyone here installed this Intel driver successfully on a Helios 300 Predator (or other Acer laptop)?

I'm leery because typically installing a generic, (graphics in this case), driver, is maybe not advisable over a custom OEM-graphics driver.

(See screenshots below from Intel's driver updater website)

The i7-10750H cpu that your laptop has, also has the Intel® UHD Graphics for 10th Gen Intel® Processor, the best way is to use the Intel® Driver & Support Assistant scan to update to the latest Intel driver, as the new drivers work 100%. Make sure that you also have the latest Win-11 23H2 version installed and the latest bios and firmware (if your Predator has a firmware update) and always update the integrated cpu graphics to its latest and whatever new Intel drive it has.

Also be aware that the Intel® Driver & Support Assistant scan, will also update the Intel Wi-Fi/BT card (if you have one) and chipset and audio drivers needed and also make sure that you have the latest Nvidia RTX 3060 game ready driver and GeForce Experience software installed as that will notify you of any Nvidia gpu graphics driver update. Good luck and hope this helps you out.
