I beg your patience; I'm new and not very technological. Please let me know if I should address this to a different part of the community. After many years, I purchased a Predator Helios New 16. Ideally, I really want to learn how to completely wipe and reload my computer. I'll settle for just learning how to bring my computer back to the exact state it was when I took it out of the box, meaning nothing of me is in the computer (hidden or otherwise) forcing the computer will ask me to register, wherever it needs me to register. But here are things I'm unsure of. For instance, if I did a Win11 re-install, will that wipe out other software that's running my wi-fi, speakers, etc.? Is see that Acer has "Support" and lots of software downloads that seem focused on my model, but sometimes there appears to be duplicates (one older and one newer). I'm just not sure how to get started on my journey. Thoughts? Thanks. Link: https://www.acer.com/us-en/support/product-support/PHN16-71/NH.QMBAA.001/downloads

You should backup this pre-installed optimized windows of your laptop instead of reinstalling.

Most of acer software and driver are installed. You can clean reinstall windows 11 and get all acer software from support site. But real optimized genuine windows is something else.

In state your laptop is clean and great. You try uninstall useless apps and make it better.

You can follow below optimization for better performance and gaming ready-

You can use reset this PC function. It will automatically reinstall the app that comes with the laptop like after you unbox the laptop.

Please remember to include @AnhEZ28 when you want to reply back to my comment so that I can check your response.
Thank you and have a nice day!

@GAMING6698 and @AnhEZ28, thank you both for the responses. I hope I'm responding in the way the system demands so that you receive this response. I want to thank both of you for sharing your time and expertise. I'm old(ish) and not a gamer (yet) and I bought this Predator Helios Neo with a RTX 4060 because I want to hook up PC Virtual Reality headsets and travel the world virtually. I'm assuming I bought way-more computer than was necessary for my simple purpose. Even at the risk of making a big mistake, I no longer want to be fearful of my computer. For me, that may mean knowing how to take a computer all the way back to its original configuration before any software was installed and then understanding how to reinstall the operating system and any drivers that are required to run the wi-fi, speakers, display, etc. I may mess this up and need the assistance of the Geek Squad, but I want to learn. Being new to all of this I'm hanging on to every word you say and how you are saying them. If I may ask, @GAMING6698 could you clarify what you mean by "optimized windows". Does Acer get a special version of Win11Pro that I won't have access to? I guess, I just assumed Win11Pro is the same whether installed by Acer or me. Again, thank you both. ☺️ ~Maverick

  • By optimizing Windows mean to make it arrange or design it so that it operates as smoothly and efficiently as possible. Mostly acer already did in pre-installed windows.

Some changes can still make like disabling things that you nit gonna use, setting up startup apps, closing background apps for better battery and performance,
