Acer Predator Helios Possible hinge problem? how much would it cost to replace?
So I believe my Acer Predator Helios laptop (correct me if I misplaced words) has a broken hinge. I heard a loud pop noise while adjusting screen before realizing a potential hinge snap. I then saw how the screen bent much further then usual. If I do have a broken hinge, how much would it cost to replace?

Yes, the left hinge broke off the panel due to a locked or very tight hinge pin. This can happen when the lid is always opened (in a hurry) on the right side (roughly) causing flexing of the lid and strain on the left hinge assembly instead of the recommended careful opening in the middle, or by dropping the laptop and therefore is not covered under Acer warranty. Estimated cost for a new panel, bezel and possibly the case: $200-$250 depending on where you live. Patching it up with epoxy glue won't be permanent and may even lead to screen cracking which would add another $150 to the repairs. I also don't recommend doing this yourself but to let Acer Services in your country do the repairs.

Funny thing is, I looked on Google maps searching Acer, but it appears that there is NO acer service places in my country. Should I bring it to Best Buys Geek squad since I bought it from there? I'm quite stressed right now.

Yes, the Acer retailer will find a reliable shop to do these repairs, meanwhile don't close the lid till you send it back.
