every time i close the lid or put my swift sfg14-71t it doesnt recognize my corded usb verbatim mouse. I have even activated it in the bios and disabled the mouse driver but when i close the lid on my laptop reopen it it doesn't recognize my mouse anymore i have to shut restart the computer and then it recognizes the mouse, why? please give me an answer that actually works.

Try to enable "USB selective suspend" in Power Plan, advanced settings. Set in Power Plan "Change what closing the lid does" to do nothing.

If your mouse driver when the mouse is plugged in shows the above in Device manager, disable it.
