Nitro AN517-42 144 hz monitor bugs when ran at 60 hz

When running an older game that I have been unsuccessful at forcing to run 144 hz, I noticed an odd line flickering at the bottom of the screen. Through my investigations, this is present whenever the screen is at 60 hz. Turns out it's the top of the screen being repeated translucently, and pretty troubling, the line has grown to about a half inch now. Oddly, messing with the screen brightness causes it to grow and shrink, smallest at max brightness. Also, the bug is not present in screenshots. Are there any solutions to my problem, and do you think it's indicative of something failing, presumably at a hardware level? Laptop is Nitro AN517-42.

Allow only Security updates Disable all other updates in Windows 10/11, only push updates after they are at least 6 months old so they have time for the bugs to be worked out. Only use Drivers Provided by Acer. If these do not help Call the Warranty Department at Acer. I'm curious does is drop from the Nvidia graphics to the Intel graphics when you put it at 60hz?

Try to update the BIOS and the GPU drivers. If those don't work, likely the LCD is faulty. You can get it repaired for free of charge in warranty.

Well, I am quite confused. In the Nvidia control panel I told it to use the dedicated graphics, but for a test more than a solution I went into BIOS and disabled the integrated graphics entirely, which did in fact solve my problem. I did update the drivers for both Nvidia and the integrated Radeon, maybe I just gotta wait for the next Radeon driver update.
