The battery in my barely one-year old Swift Edge laptop, that has been used only minimally to begin with, will completely discharge within two days while power is completely off. Nothing running in the background that I can see other than what the standard programs have been since I bought the computer day one.

The laptop did not completely shut down but was either hibernating and/or in sleep mode, the new Modern Standby Mode in Windows11 requires disabling Hibernate and Fast Startup. Also, you may have had devices connected while USB ports continued to have charge. Change Power Plan to Balanced and reset Power Plan to factory defaults, disable "USB selective suspend" in advanced Power Plan settings, uninstall Quick Access or turn off the USB permanent power-on option and uncheck in Device Manager, Properties-Power Management all PCIe, Network and USB controller drivers the power saving option. Check if you have a power adapter issue with a multimeter, bad power plug/contact and uninstall Acer Care Center with the 80% battery charge limiting option, you can leave the power adapter plugged in 24/7 and keep the battery fully charged even when not using the laptop this will not affect battery wear as power will be diverted to the MOBO by Li-Ion Smart logic when the battery is charged 100%. Finally update BIOS or if you have the latest version reset BIOS (press F9 in BIOS and save settings on exit).

To give you help that is better targeted at your specific situation, we need to know just which model you have. There have been a bunch of Swift Edge models, even in only the last couple of years. Your full model number is usually on the same sticker as your serial number, it should look something like SFExx-xxx-xxxx. Many of the newer models provide an 'always on' USB port and if anything is plugged in there it draws power even when the system is fully powered off.
