Hello,

I have few questions regarding firmware for Acer Predator W6d router:

1/ From where I can download firmware images for the router? I could not find it in Support page for this model... https://www.acer.com/us-en/support/product-support/W6d/downloads
I know I can make FW upgrade from WebGUI, but I would like to have the possibility to download FW to my PC.

2/ Where can I find change log for particular firmware versions?

3/ Is there any method to debrick W6d router like e.g. ASUS Firmware Restoration Toolkit https://www.asus.com/support/faq/1000814/ ? I did not find any info in W6d manual...

Cheers,
Przemek

If Acer has NO firmware updates for your Predator Connect W6d Wi-Fi 6 Router there ARE NO NEW firmware for your router. Your Predator Connect W6d Wi-Fi 6 Router sold in your country is fine-tuned by Acer for your region and if there are NO updates, then your router doesn't need any firmware updates. Just follow the very proven theory of "If it isn't broke don't try to ix it"😀as in 99,99% of times, you will wreck whatever you are trying to fix!

BE WARNED: don't substitute and/or use any other firmware software update(s) except and what is OFFICIAL FROM ACER and is listed on the Predator Connect W6d Wi-Fi 6 Router page.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the reply.

Regarding first question, on the Predator Connect W6d Wi-Fi 6 Router page there is no firmware available... It looks that the only way to perform update is via WebGUI in "System -> Firmware update" , so looks like there is, no possibility to manually download firmware...

    What about other questions?

2/ Where can I find change log for particular firmware versions? After clicking "Check new" button in "System -> Firmware update" section I see new version is available - how can I check what is changed in new version in order to avoid unnecessary updates?

3/ If my router stops working after firmware update (e.g power goes down during the process), is there any method to debrick the router like e.g. for ASUS routers ASUS Firmware Restoration Toolkit ?

    Cheers,
