Hello everyone, is it okay to play while its charging? is there a software to use bypass charging that directly draw power from the charger, bypassing or not using the battery entirely?

and also will the battery degrade if I leave it plugged in even if I'm not using it?

You must keep the power adapter plugged in when playing games and you can leave the power adapter safely plugged in 24/7 as Li-Ion batteries have SMART logic that diverts the power to the motherboard after the battery is 100% charged. Also, Microsoft ACPI battery protocol will bypass power when the battery is fully charged. Leaving the battery plugged in 24/7 does not affect battery wear, degrading of the battery by 24/7 charging is a myth that is unfortunately circulating also in this community. Do not try to limit the battery charging to 80% with the Acer Care Center option or by unplugging the adapter, this only interferes with Windows Power Plan and has no effect whatsoever on the lifespan of a battery. Any rechargeable battery needs to be replaced after 4 years, treat your laptop like your mobile phone or tablet and forget about the battery.
