So this is a pretty weird story that i want to get to the bottom of.

Like 3 years ago my Acer Aspire 3 A315-41 laptop stopped working after a repasting and dusting, The blue led blinked like 5 times and stopped (At least that's what i remember). When i tried to turn it on, all that happened was the blue led stayed on after a few seconds and turned off. (no other signs of life) (I think brummyfan told me that its because i didn't unplug the battery while repasting, MAYBE ITS NOT brummyfan IM NOT SURE I MIGHT BE WRONG) In hope i tried a few different methods to fix it (E.g the battery pin hole method, resitting the battery connector and a few others from the Acer Community) but none of those methods worked.

So i was pretty bummed out, and after that i left on top of a shelf for like 3 months.

One day on december, i decided i was gonna connect it to a charger and try to turn it on. and out of nowhere, the laptop turned on and booted without any problems, i was shocked to see this since it just sat there for such a long time and now it just randomly booted.

Why is this? How did it randomly fix it self?

The battery had time to drain itself slowly over the 3 or so months that it sat there. Plugging the charger in after the battery has died or nearly died resets internal errors. Also, if you had accidentally got moisture in the system, it had time for that to dry out. Something as simple as a static discharge while it was opened up could have caused a fault in the battery. Its really hard to say for sure.
