AN517-55 not turning on, backlit keyboard stopped it's decorative lighting.No on-off status light.

During the night, I was just sitting on the sofa, chilling, reading an article (the charging cable wasn't connected), I got distracted for couple of seconds, as my phone displayed a notification, and right after, I was back towards my laptop, I was confused, this caused by the sudden shift in the screen, as just a couple seconds ago the screen was still on.

Furthermore, the backlit keyboard stopped it's decorative lighting.

No on-off status light.

No notification received for low in power.

After this, before actually worrying and panicking, I first started by plugging in the charger, then turning it on, after that I still checked if annything displayed, but nothing was there, so if you reached this far, is there anything that I might have missed, as I'm concerned and would appreciate any ideas, to resolve the previously stated issue.

Additionally, just rembered, I did a couple of things to make it work again but again no progress. Please let me know and Thank you.

Today I went to the retailer whom sold me the AN5, they tested the Charger and concluded that the fault is within the laptop, and so I was wondering if I should get my battery replaced, as that should probably fix the problem?

The system shut down because the battery discharged below the critical 2-3% point. Why the battery LED did not turn amber when you inserted the power adapter is not clear to me. You cannot turn on a laptop with only 2-3% (or any portable device). Let it charge, don't touch the laptop, keep the lid closed till you see a LED:

The 17" QHD is very power hungry and also the 150W RTX 3070 T consumes a lot of your battery power, so you better keep that huge 280W power adapter plugged in 24/7. The USB-C port supports Thunderbolt 4, Power Delivery (PD) and if you have a large 90-Watt USB-C charger try to charge with that but unplug the DC barrel power plug of the power adapter first as that has preference.

I don't know what happened, the power adapter failed, bad AC/DC power plug connections or the battery may have depleted below recovery that should never happen with Windows11 Power Plan but maybe someone edited the advanced power settings or "Best Performance" Power Plan instead of the recommended balanced Power Plan was set. If no LEDs show after a few hours I recommend bringing the laptop to Acer Services in your country, it should still be under warranty, but not the battery. Include the "brick" power adapter. 😉
