Can I upgrade the ram of Helios 300 (PH315-53-72XD)?

Hello acers,

I want to upgrade the ram of my Helios 300 (PH315-53-72XD) to ADATA Premier DDR4 16GB 3200MHz SO-DIMM (will use 2 sticks). I understand that my laptop already has two 8 GB slots filled. So I was wondering if I could do this upgrade. Or are the rams soldered or something?

Nothing is soldered, you should remove the 2 x 8GB DDR4 in the 2 slots and install a kit of 2 x16GB ADATA Premier DDR4 16GB 2666MHz SO-DIMM that you planned. The 2 SODIMMS need to be identical (a kit) to qualify for Dual Channel mode (max. speed). If you have the i7-10750H CPU you can use 3200MHz SODIMMS but it will clock back to 2933 MHz.
