Hello,

I was trying to clean the fans of my acer laptop the other day, but forgot to take out the hardrive and ended up ripping out the SATA cable out of its port. I attempted to put it back, but ended up breaking the latch that connects it.

I bought a new cable and it is curretnly being held down with small pieces of duct tape, but my laptop still shows none for HDD0 and below in BIOS and when I try to turn it on normally, it'll read, "No bootable device". I wanted to know if the latch that keeps the cable in place was needed to maintain a connection, or if this could be an issue with the port itself or the hardrive. Any extra help would be immensely appreciated.
