It is actually amber color, if the charge LED is amber the battery is being charged or if the adapter is unplugged it means the battery is draining. Do not try to prolong laptop battery life, please ignore all the talk on the web about the longevity of a Li-Ion battery it is a hoax based on nothing and programs that limit the charging to 80% cause power problems and do nothing for the battery, leave your power adapter plugged in 24/7 without affecting any battery wear. A new laptop or new battery installed must undergo a Full Charge Cycle for BIOS and MS ACPI battery protocol to register the capacity, failing to do so will impair the Battery Meter statistics in Windows and may cause power issues: Disable Hibernate and Fast Startup in Power Plan "Change what closing the lid does" and "Change settings that are currently unavailable" Disconnect all USB devices and monitors and shut down the correct way with Start Taskbar and clicking on the Power-Shutdown icon, close the lid and charge the laptop till the amber charge LED turns blue and wait 10 minutes. Open the lid and boot to Windows, verify that the battery is 100% charged. Unplug the power adapter and work with the laptop till it turns off automatically (3-4% battery charge left). Close the lid and plug in the power adapter, charge till the amber LED turns blue again and wait 10 minutes, boot to windows. That's it.

I actually charge it for almost 12 hours but it didn't turn blue, how long does it usually take?
