The adapter that came with my new SFE 16-42 has an extremely short adapter cord, and it is one piece with a USB-C connector. It is not like typical two-piece adapter and cord that are usually supplied.

The accesories tab on Acer store does not even recognize the model SFE16, so could someone please let me know what Acer power adapter and cable would be compatible so I can buy one? Thanks in advance!

OK, never mind. I found what I think is the compatible adapter by searching for USB Power Adapter in the store. I ordered one.

Yes, Acer is a little brain dead with their site searches. You need to enter the model number as SFE16-42, not SFE 16-42. The space breaks the search algorithm. Any 65W or 90W USB-C charger will work, as will 100W, but anything over 65W is just overkill since the charging circuit will only pull the 65W needed.

A short AC power cord for a USB-C charger is required, preferable the charger is directly plugged in the electrical wall socket without power cord. A long AC power cable or using an extension cord will not work. Likewise, a thick fixed DC USB-C cable (out) works best charging the laptop as thin regular detachable USB-C cables with multiport universal GaN type chargers fail to charge properly. Use a 90-Watt USB-C charger for your laptop, it will charge faster.

The Anker USB C 715, combined with the Anker USB C Cable 100W 10ft, USB C to USB C Cable has worked fine for me and is quite compact. About $40 total.
