I currently own a Acer Aspire 7552G-P324G1. I've had it for several years and it has preformed flawlessly without any problems   until yesterday. Now whenever i press the power button the screen stays black but the power IS on. I first thought it was a loose connection to the monitor but as i tried plugging it to several other monitors with no result i could rule that out. I then started a little research on the web for possible solutions to my problem and i found promising results on youtube and forums. I also checked the Forums in here to see if Acer themselves had a solution. They did not.

At this point i am very sure it is the Bios thats corrupt.

I have read well over 50 pages with troubleshooting and solutions. The only fix that people seems to verify as working is by flashing your bios via USB.  The only thing holding me back is how to set up the USB with the right files and the right name on those files.

Thanks in advance. I really dont hope i have to retire the labtop.
