Aspire A514-54 Inconsistent fingerprint recognition? I know a damp/wet finger does not work

Aspire A514-54. No fingerprint recognition too many times for no known reason. I've deleted and re-scanned but still poor performance. I know a damp/wet finger does not work, but it seems I need whatever the perfect finger is.

My Pixel 6 Phone never misses. Take note Acer.

Anyone solve/improve this?

The touchpad and fingerprint sensor may be a bit greasy/dirty, try to clean with a damp soft fiber cloth or even a bit of mild soapy water/wet wipes and dry that immediately with dry tissues. Uninstall the Fingerprint driver in Biometric devices-Device Manager, you may have installed the wrong driver as your laptop model comes with 3 different brand fingerprint sensors:

After uninstalling the driver try to install the other two drivers listed above, one-by one, or just reboot and let Windows install the correct one (make sure internet is working).
