Hello dear folks,
I'm having some trouble regarding my Nitro 5 AN517-51-55NT (3 years old). I recently bought a new PC and left my Nitro 5 in the wardrobe for 2 weeks. Prior to that, it never had any issue whatsoever. Now, when I tried to turn it on, it shuts off (death) after a few minutes of use. After this "first death", each attempt to turn it on again makes the "death" happen faster. If I try to turn it on like 3 or 4 times, the notebook stops turning on completely (no keyboard lights/screen). I have to wait for minutes or even hours in order to reset this "behavior" of shutting down after a couple of minutes.
During these few minutes that the notebook works, I've managed to do some testing:
- Not affected by dust cleaning.
- CPU and GPU are not overheating.
- Problem persists after removing the battery and only using power cable.
- Problem persists after holding power f/ 30 secs and running the systems' default repair w/ no battery.
- Problem persists after switching and discharging RAMs.
- Problem persists even on BIOS menu.
I think that is also noteworthy that, even tough it happened like twice: some times when de notebook dies the screen flashes for a milisec.
I'm starting to think it is related to the motherboard somehow.
Do you folks have any ideas?
