What to do with a 4-year-old laptop with a broken hinge; repair for $200-$250 or patch it up and save for a new laptop? I recommend migrating from a 2019 Quad i5 CPU with PCIe 3 and UHD GPU to a faster 8-core CPU that supports PCIe 4 with IrisXe/RTX3050 GPU. Acer Swift X SFX14-41G-R1S6 with Ryzen 7 (equiv. to Intel i7-1165G7) goes for under $800 (same screen you have now) on Amazon. Rule of thumb: if the repairs reach a third of the costs for a newer and better laptop don't repair.

Some of us with a broken laptop hinge have tried to patch it with industrial epoxy cement (for polycarbonate and metal) and a small glue clamp leaving it overnight to set with mixed results: It will always remain a weak point and best not to close the lid at all.

Normally it's not the hinge that breaks, but instead the screw mounts in the case half or display. The 'thin and light' laptop designs don't have the depth in those mounts to really do a good job of keeping the screws seated when the laptop is opened quickly or from the corner. The solution Acer uses when the laptop is still in warranty is replacement of the case half. The solution when out of warranty, unless you can find a used case at a reasonable price, is to rebuild the screw mounts using a metal epoxy. Are your hinges pulling out of the top case cover or the back cover of the display portion? We need to know just which of the many models of SF514-54T you have in order to lookup part numbers. There are at least three different colors for the cases and the top case half has the keyboard built in, so we need to know the language the keyboard is for. Your full model number is usually on the same sticker as your serial number, it should look something like SF514-54T-xxxx.
