RAM Speed AN517-54-700x my factory ram set is also having the same DRAM frequency problem

I recently have started looking into upgrading my RAM set from 16gb 3200mhz to either 32gb 3200 or 64gb 3200. I know both are compatible with my laptop as I confirmed with acer directly.

I purchased TEAMGROUP T-Force Zeus DDR4 SODIMM 64GB (2x32GB) 3200MHz (PC4-25600) 260 Pin CL22. My frames on multiple games were slower even though it seemed like it was registering properly on task manager. but on CPU-Z my DRAM frequency was only at about 800MHZ (So I guess 1600 since it was dual channel). I have returned the set for a refund. Was this just a faulty set?

my factory ram set is also having the same DRAM frequency problem, I know you can't adjust it in bios. Does anyone know if I am able to put the frequency higher or do they have a 32 or 64gig ram set they could recommend? which would give me higher output?

TTZD416G3200HC20DC01 RAM includes the Intel XMP and DOCP profile which is not supported Acer BIOS

Thank you very much for the response, I will look into that RAM set! I tried to use the crucial site and my model number didn't come up.

Do you know why my Factory samsung ram is only operating at 800 DRAM frequency?

Will the crucial recommendation be throttled to the same frequency?

Looking at the CPU and GPU load in yours screenshots (taskmgr.exe), the RAM frequency it would have to be operating at 1600 MHz (DDR4-3200).

Something that is attracting attention is the tRFC = 0 (Row Refresh Cycle Time) parameter showing in "Timings" section of the "Memory" tab.

A very low value indicates that the RAM circuit is "refreshing" too frequently. This can cause the CPU's memory controller to have wait a long time to access its contents, until RAM is available again.

This may be due to the old version (1.98) of CPU-Z you are using.

You can try to do a "full" EC reset. Which consists in removing the power charger, laptop battery and CR2032. And then, press and hold the Power Button for 30 ~ 60 seconds.

The 3200MHz kit may underclock to 2667 MHz.

Hey @eGomes, I got the new CPU z application and here is a screen shot, one thing to note is the dram and uncore frequency doesn't show consistently? maybe this is just how the new cpu-z works by taking a reading sporadically. I needed to use some timing to get the screenshot. makes more sense with clock timing though

If it does underclock to 2667MHZ will it still be likely to give me better frames on games like Escape from tarkov?
