Is it better to have 40GB of memory with 1330 MHz or 32GB memory with 3200 MHz?

Have been wondering, once I purchase 2 new RAM sticks, whether to keep the only 2 4GB ones or remove them entirely. So, is having 40GB memory but 1330MHz better than having 32Gb memory with 3200MHZ?

Ram running in Dual Channel mode at 3200MHz is always preferred over single mode at 1330 MHz, I cannot think of an application that requires more than 32GB memory. 40GB = 2x4GB + 2x16GB (4 slots)?
