Every time Windows does an update, I loose my keyboard. I usually just do a recovery, but it will not let me do that this time. Afterwords, I installed Windows 11 to see if that solved problem, however that did not work. How do I get my keyboard back. I tried to find a driver on the website and did not see one. Thanks

For this laptop to run on Win-11 you need to do a Clean Install as Acer not having Win-11 drivers for this laptop does cause allot of driver issues that you are having. With the Win-11 OS you need to do a clean install and when you get to the Win-11 section of "Where do you want to install Windows?" > you first Delete all drives > then go to > Load driver > and install the PH315-53 IRST (Intel® Rapid Storage Technology) Driver Version 17.9.1.1009 that you put onto the Win-11 installation USB so that the Win-11 installation recognizes the M.2 SSD boot drive, after you finish the Win-11 install make sure that you download all the windows updates and install the Intel® Driver & Support Assistant and do all the Intel updates and then do all the NVidia gpu drivers updates and make sure that you are running the latest bios version 2.04 and Firmware version v101a, as doing all this will ensure that your PH315-53 will operate under Win-11 perfectly, as the PH315-53 is a Win-11 compatible laptop and it should work under Win-11 100%.

    Hi Kevin,
The standard PS/2 KB driver is in the IO Intel driver package with other integrated device drivers (camera).

Did you upgrade to Windows11 with W10 Update or Clean Install with an ISO image, I noticed on Acer Support drivers, including BIOS, are still W10. Your MOBO is Windows11 compatible, but you may have to update manually the Intel 2020 drivers. If you boot in Safe Mode is your keyboard (check also with an external USB keyboard) working after an update. What Windows11 update is causing this, what are the errors (incl. in Event Viewer) after the updates, are all W11 updates installed successfully, you should be on W11 23H2 build 22631.2715. I may also have something to do with the 23H2 upgrade, read this:
