So, in the last couple of days, I got that issue where your GPU doesn't perform as the expected. After a long time searching, I found out two ways that could be a good alternative to that "fix" where you have to reinstall your nVidia driver.

Basically, you have two options:

Disable and enable your graphics card in the device manager. (This will have the same effect as reinstalling the driver, but in a much faster way).
"Restore" your internal battery (Hold the power button for about 20 seconds).
