I recently purchased a laptop Aspire 5 A515-56-702V and have tried to connect my USB C Hub, Docking Station, SUTOUG 9 in 1 Triple Display Laptop Docking Station that i purchased at amazon but i does not read my monitors that i have connected. Is their an updated needed to make on this laptop or the docking station is not the corrected one to use with this laptop? Please advise

Your Aspire A515-56 laptop does NOT have a Thunderbolt USB-C port which TBT ports have a Display Out capability, your laptop has a 3.2 Gen 1 USB-C type port which HAS NO DISPLAY OUT capabilities, it states this in your laptops A515-56 manual (see highlighted caption below) that is why and when you plug the SUTOUG 9 in 1 USB-C dock into your laptop and the external monitor into this hubs 4K HDMI port YOU GET NO IMAGE.

Connect your external monitor with a simple HDMI cable to your Aspire A515-56 HDMI port at #3 below, as it will work 100%, because and if you bought this SUTOUG 9 in 1 USB-C dock to connect your monitor to your laptops USB-C port for a quicker and better connection, it won't happen. Good luck and hope this helps you out.

If you want a USB-C TBT4 port then you need to buy a different laptop, but you don't need to buy a new laptop just to connect a 1x external monitor, the HDMI port that your A515-56 laptop has, is good enough, as you don't need a USB-C TBT4. The Aspire A515-56 is a good laptop, I've got the A515-57 that has a USB-C TBT4 port and its virtually the same laptop as your A515-56. The USB-C TBT4 port is useful if you want 2 to 3 external monitors.
