You should not change the case of the Extensa 15 EX215-51G laptop to any other case as the Extensa 15 laptops components will not fit into any other case, use only the Extensa 15 oem Acer type lower case and an LCD cover assembly for the EX215-51G laptop that you have.

The reason why the hinge broke from its securing points and broke the covers is probably because the hinge(s) got too tight, and it broke its securing points because it was too stiff to open and close the laptop lid.

I suggest that you buy either a new lower case or a new LCD Cover or both (whichever is broken) and make sure when you fit the hinges, you loosen the laptops hinge and apply very slight WD40 lubrication, so that it opens and closes easily. Adjust the base of the hinges at the point of the red arrow below in the caption, as these hinges don't break their mounting points for nothing.

LCD HINGE BASE (loosen hinge where arrow is)

This is the LCD COVER ASSY (if you need to replace this too)

You can, typically, adjust the hinge to require less force to open and close. Just a little lubricant will usually do that, or a slight loosening of the pivot screw. You can use a metal epoxy to strengthen the hinge mounts at the same time, so they don't get worse. The issue with loosening the hinges is typically that it's easy to get them too loose and then the laptop screen doesn't stay in place as well.
