How to connect 2 monitors to my Acer Nitro AN515-55,only one HDMI port but want to connect 2 monitor

Hi,

I'm facing a situation where I need to connect two monitors to my laptop:

Serial#: NHQB2EU0081xxxx
Model Number: AN515-55
Part Number: NH.QB2EU.008

The problem is that there's only one HDMI port. Are there any chances to connect two monitors and run them at a full 144Hz refresh rate, especially if one of them is 1080P and the other is 2160P?

I've tried connecting one of them using a USB-C to Display Port adapter, but it didn't work. I also looked into the BIOS settings, but it seems like my model does not support Mini DisplayPort or Thunderbolt (I hope I'm wrong and just couldn't find it).

Could an HDMI splitter work to run both monitors at the same time?

Thank you in advance, and I would appreciate it if you could share with me all the methods to resolve my issue.

    The Nitro AN515-55 doesn't have a Thunderbolt USB-C port for display out capabilities and only has the HDMI port as a display/audio out port, to have a Daisey Chain 2x monitor setup look at this guide "How to Daisy Chain Monitors with HDMI (Step-by-Step Guide)" as it will explain to you all that you nee to know.

    Note: Daisy chaining monitors with HDMI can be a convenient way to extend your display or create a seamless multi-monitor setup. However, it’s essential to note that HDMI does not natively support daisy chaining.

    Setting Up Daisy Chaining

    Connect the first monitor to the device with an HDMI cable

    • Connect the first monitor to your device using an HDMI cable. This is usually the HDMI Out port on your device.
    • Make sure the cable is securely connected to both the monitor and device to avoid any signal loss or quality issues.

    Connect the second monitor to the first monitor’s HDMI Out port

    • Connect the second monitor to the first monitor’s HDMI Out port using another HDMI cable.
    • Again, make sure the cable is securely connected to both monitors to avoid any issues.

    @spaceelision

    You can use the USB 3.0 to HDMI adapter to connect a second external monitor.

    NO, YOU CAN'T as a Daisey Chain image, with that setup you get two of the same images. The AN515-55 does NOT have a Thunderbolt port, I've got an AN515-56 and its USB-C is a Thunderbolt port display out and I can connect a monitor to this port, but the AN515-55 only has the HDMI as a display out port, and to Daisey chain 2x monitors you need to do the above as I've described above and given that link to that guide.

    These are all the Nitro AN515-55 ports and their descriptions on the laptops left and right sides:

    @StevenGen

    I know that the AN515-55 doesn't support the video output for USB-C. I'm mentioning about the USB-A 3.0 to HDMI adapter, which will require installing a driver and making it as a separate screen.

    The Daisy Chain works with the DisplayPort only, HDMI does not support this connection. In addition, finding a monitor that has an HDMI Output is rare and expensive for the ones that support this.

    @StevenGen

    I have read and just have one question for you: Is there any gaming monitor has both HDMI Input and Output? Specify the name please.

    Look there is NOT a monitor that has a HDMI Input and Output port, as the HDMI port is an output port to transmit high-quality audio and video signals between electronic devices, all I'm trying to do is help spaceelision out with his AN515-55 so he figure out and research all his options with the output display ports for two monitors that the AN515-55 has and figure it out for himself.

    @StevenGen

    Then what is the purpose of the guide? "Connect the second monitor to the first monitor’s HDMI Out port

    • Connect the second monitor to the first monitor’s HDMI Out port using another HDMI cable.
    • Again, make sure the cable is securely connected to both monitors to avoid any issues."

    It tells us to connect second monitor to the first monitor HDMI Out. Clearly, that article has false guide.

    Hello, @StevenGen is there a chance to get a working link to the instruction? :)

    I've bought a Nitro 5 AN515-45-R45W and i really need to get two working monitors with it :)

    Your Nitro 5 AN515-45 does not have a USB-C Thunderbolt port or a mini DP port so you cant connect a monitor to its USC_C port that only support the following; its a USB 3.2 Gen 2 with transfer speeds up to 10 Gbps, delivers up to 3A at 5V DC for USB charging (it can't be charged with a USB-C adapter also) and has no support for display out, so be aware of all this, as its important.

    So the only port that your Nitro AN515-45 has for display out is the HDMI port that you can use with a hub to have two monitor that will have the same image on their screen.

    But with the Daisey Chain setup that the two monitors have a continual screen on both monitors to give you a bigger image on both monitors, your AN515-45 only has a HDMI port for display out an and it cant be used for a Daisey Chain setup. You can only do a Daisy Chain setup by using either a mini DP or a DP port or a Thunderbolt 3 or 4 port, which your laptop does not have. Good luck and hope this helps you out

    So you mean that there is no option for two monitors with the AN515-45 or do i not understand?

    You can connect two monitors with a HDMI 2 to 1 hub like but both monitors will have the same display image and not a continual one image like a daisy chain setup has, as with a HDMI port you cant have a daisy Chain setup.

    This is the only hub that you can have for your AN515-45 to have 2x monitors connected to its HDMI port

    This is what images your AN515-45 laptop can have with its HDMI port with two monitors connected to a HDMI hub above, as both monitors will have the same image duplicated.

    Below is the Daisey Chain two monitor setup with a laptop that has either a mini DP or a thunderbolt USB-C port
