So ive been experiencing low fps on most games on my acer nitro 5, like i used to run 144 fps on fortnite and now its at 30, and around the same for other games. I found out that when I reinstall my graphic drivers, it goes back to normal, but when I restart my laptop i go back to low fps until i reinstall the drivers again. anyone have any solution or fixes?

Immediately after re-installing GPU driver, press WIN+R. Type 'CMD' Press Ctrl+Shift+Enter. Then enter 'Powercfg -h off' at command prompt. Shut down Windows normally. Turn it back on. Test again.

I had the same problem, and there are two options that may help you.

    1. Disable and Enable your GPU in the device manager.
    2. Reset your internal battery (hold power button for +15 seconds).

Usually the first option is a direct alternative to not reinstall your drivers after each reboot.

Thank you so much for this. The first option is a time saver for me. But still is there a permanent fix for this problem? I mean what is the actual issue causing this?

So have you found any permanent fix for this issue?

Try turning off the fast startup option in Control Panel's power options app. Or press WIN+R. Enter 'CMD'. Then enter 'Powercfg -h off' at command prompt. Shut down Windows normally. Turn it back on. Test again.

Option 1 also helped me, but how can I solve this problem so I don't have to go to the device manager every time?
