This is for the Swift X14 14.5" RTX 3050 i5-13500H (2023 Model)
It comes with HDMI port (2.1) that supports 4K resolution at 120 Hz and ThunderBolt 4

OLED external monitor is out of question for now. What are the alternatives?

Thank You

Your Swift X14 or you should really refer to it as the Swift SFX14-71G model laptop i5-13500H and RTX3050 gpu has a 14.5” screen of the AUO – part #: B145QAN01.J that is a 120Hz refresher rate and 2560 x 3(RGB) x1600 resolution type. The higher end SFX14-71G with the i7-13700H and the RTX4060 came with also a 120Hz refresher rate screen but higher-end Samsung screen of 2880 x 1800, WQXGA resolution.

The best and most suitable external monitor tested for the RTX3050 laptop gpu is the Acer Predator XB273K its got a fast 120 Hz refresh rate, a 1ms response time, and support for NVIDIA-GSYNC technology, this monitor offers users a responsive, blur-free gaming experience. It can also be overclocked up to 144 Hz, which requires the use of two DisplayPort cables. Its IPS (In-Plane Switching) panel has a 3840 x 2160 4K resolution as well as wide 178° viewing angles and vivid colour reproduction. A 400 cd/m² peak brightness rating and support for 1.07 billion colors help to deliver clear contrast and detailed shadows.

It's really more determined by what space you have on your desk than anything else, along with how good your eyes are. Too small of a monitor won't work as well for 4K resolutions, unless you have really good eyes. Decide what size you can fit and afford, then we can give better suggestions as to which monitors fit that use case.

On Apple's desktop screens, where everything is precisely calibrated, the latest iMac M3 has a 24-inch diagonal, and the Apple Pro Display XDR has a 32-inch diagonal. Microsoft Surface Studio 2+ has a 28-inch diagonal. It is worth noting that with a diagonal of 27" or more, you can completely fit an A4 sheet of paper on the screen. Some monitors from Acer, which makes every effort to improve the performance of its products, have the ability to rotate 90 degrees, which is very convenient for programmers. Monitors have this important characteristic as HDR. Due to the pixel structure, the monitor screen does not have such an ideal white color as a sheet of paper. The higher the resolution of the monitor screen, the better the text is displayed on it, which is very important.

Microsoft Surface Studio has a Touchscreen, Surface Pen, Surface Dial, and a variety of screen angles to enhance productivity. You can use Magic Trackpad on Apple devices, and similar ones can be used on other computers.

The YT video shows various uses of Samsung displays for a general overview.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qlo440kX3qA
"ISE 2024 Highlights: Innovating Displays Beyond Boundaries | Samsung"
although I personally use a 27" Acer monitor with a rotation for programming and there is a 32" monitor if needed.
In modern life, there are no restrictions at all on screen size and resolution up to 8K.
If you need to monitor several windows at the same time, then Wall Street in New York uses 6 displays in two rows or there are larger monitors or even larger ones with a curve.
Displays with rotation are also convenient when there are several of them, and this is good if modern narrow frames. In Windows 7, 16 monitors are possible, in Windows 10 there are already 64. You can use 4 displays with a laptop: USB-C, USB 3 to HDMI adapter (some have a limit of 1), Wireless (Microsoft 4K Wireless Display Adapter).
Of course, in the case of several displays, you need to additionally master the skill of placing the cursor on them. After choosing the best distance to view the screen from, you can determine the most appropriate screen size.
If there are static images on the screen, then you don’t have to worry about the screen frequency. You will also have to choose the matrix type OLED, IPS or VA, taking into account accurate color reproduction and HDR. Text always needs good resolution.
The type and number of inputs of each monitor must be taken into account.

Using the ability to connect multiple monitors to a laptop, you can connect not only multiple monitors
with the same diagonal as in the pictures but also, depending on the purpose and desire, with different diagonals, including TV. At the same time, the main screen of the laptop can be controlled by touch or a convenient passive capacitive stylus with a rubber tip or another, and you can also use the Active Stylus like the Acer Spin.

It is worth noting that it has always been assumed that in stationary conditions a laptop, tablet and even in some cases a phone are connected to the Dok-station with a large screen size for example for deep and the ability, for example, to see a person’s face in typical cases in life size with a diagonal starting from about 65".

In 2012, Precision Touchpad with five touch points appeared in laptops and its support in Wibdows 8.
The Precision Touchpad is in the Human Interface Devices (HID) class.

Acer Spin laptops have all these features and Active Stylus like all Microsoft Surfaces.

The laptop's Touchpad has 5 touch points, and all the various capabilities of this input device can be used in any Windows program. Once hovered, like the ASUS NumberPad with grid, you can tap on a specific one of the grid's many cells to perform one of many functions. You can, without interrupting the movement of the cursor, touch another finger to perform an operation, as on the Touchscreen. There are a wide variety of creative two- and three-finger operations beyond the standard ones. This can also be used to increase the limited number of simultaneous tap operations the stylus can perform on the Touchpad (there are many options like in ASUS NumberPad) or Touchpad + Screen. You can touch the very powerful Touchpad input device at numerous points around its perimeter. The limited number of operations on the Touchpad compared to the Touchscreen is easily overcome. The number of two-finger operations is increased in the space between the fingers, close or far from the coordinates. Increasing multi-finger Touchpad operations is possible through a combination of clicking and pressing, tapping your fingers non-simultaneously, and releasing one of your multiple fingers after touching. With coordinates, time in Scan and contacts in Contact, all possible complex touchpad gestures are available.

In Windows, the active stylus is automatically detected when the active stylus approaches the screen within a distance of 4 mm, which allows you to control it without directly touching the screen very hard.

With a rotating Acer monitor it is certainly useful and pleasant to read:

If you pay attention to the heavy and extended stand of the Acer monitor, which thanks to this gains increased stability compared to, for example, the Apple Studio Display, then you remember that major earthquakes occurred in Japan and Taiwan and this is very justified.

There is a relatively rarely mentioned class of display devices whose screens are viewed from a short distance and at the same time must be large to be visible from a long distance.

    Sharp 120 8K DIGITAL SIGNAGE DISPLAY 8M-B120C
Sharp 8M-B32C1 32 8K Professional Color Management Monitor

    Hikvision Interactive Display

There are also "Interactive Display" from other companies.
