I have Nitro 5 an515-55 with 256 NVMe m.2 internal ssd

Can I add Crucial P3 1TB M.2 PCIe Gen3 NVMe Internal SSD - Up to 3500MB/s - CT1000P3SSD801 (Acronis Edition) to it as and additional m.2?

The AN515-55 model supports 2x 2280 M.2 PCIe Gen3 x4 SSDs; yes the Crucial P3 SSD can be added: https://www.crucial.com/ssd/p3-plus/ct1000p3pssd8/ct22132512 or the Samsung 970 EVO SSD.

For your Nitro AN515-55 Acer uses an Interface PCIe Gen 3x4 and a Fast Data Transfer Rate (Mbits/sec, max) of 8Gbits/s M.2 SSD type drive from either Hynix models BC511 or WD models SN530 or SN730 up to 1TB M.2 SSD drives.

I've always used either WD or Samsung in my Acer laptops, as and if you want a speedy drive for gaming or editing, I would recommend upgrading to the WD SN750 Black gaming M.2 SSD which is WDs fastest PCIe3x4 drive or I would even recommend fitting the WD SN770 Black PCIe4x4 (which I'm using in my Nitro AN515-56 PCIe3x4 M.2 slot as a boot drive) as the Gen 4 M.2 drives are backward compatible and will work at the max sequential read/write performance speeds that your laptop can extract.

Note: that certain community members have had problems with Crucial drives so be aware of that with your Acer laptop.
