Dear community,

I purchased the Acer Aspire Vero (AV15-51-55CG) a few months earlier which had 512GB capacity and on Amazon it said Total 1TB can be upgraded.

Now i want it to be upgraded to 1TB and when i checked my product on acer website, it is saying that the Total Solid State Drive Capacity is 512GB.

As of now i haven't purchased any SSD but i am not able to figure out what to do in this situation as i am not a technical person. I am now confused about how will be able to upgrade the laptop and how should i do it and which SSD should I purchase.

So the questions are:

  1. How much capacity does AV15-51-55CG has for upgradation?
  2. Which SSD to purchase in order to get a perfect and smooth upgradation?
  3. How can i do that or who can do this?

Thank you so much for your attention.

Kind regards,

Kaif Sayyed

There is no capacity limit for the SSD, so you can upgrade to a 4TB or higher SSD.

This model has only 1 M.2 SSD slot. And this slot is PCIe Gen 3. My recommendation for the SSD is Samsung EVO 970, WD SN750, or Crucial P3.

Before replacing the SSD, you need to create a Windows installation USB since there is no Windows on the new drive.

Thank you and have a nice day!
