I recently decided to upgrade my RAM from 16GB to 32GB. I ordered Crucial RAM 32GB Kit (2x16GB) DDR5 4800MT/s CL40. After the install I booted in to BIOS and made sure it reflected the memory change. Now while playing multiple games I get complete freezes and have to hard reset the laptop. I just performed a memory test from windows and it returned zero errors. Any help is appreciated

Should be OK. The 16GB Micron MTC8C1084S1SC48BA1 modules have been tested on this model. The Crucial modules are probably the same Microns only with Crucial labels. Can be finicky though at these frequencies

I suggest swabbing the module contacts with cotton swabs or q-tips moistened with rubbing alcohol to help remove any fingerprint or other oils. Then re-seat them a half dozen or so times to help clean the corresponding socket wires. Please disconnect the battery pack connector from the mainboard when poking around in there like this.

Just in addition as the suitable Acer ram modules that you should use are listed below, Crucial ram is not recommended by Acer for the PH315-55 laptops, hence and why you are getting incompatibility modes with their ram. Send the Crucial ram back to Crucial and buy the exact 2x 16GB DDR5-4800MHz modules listed ram below, as they will work 100%, as they have been tested by Acer specifically on the PH315-55 laptop. This is the statement made by Acer for this ram modules and many more components that Acer specifically tests on the PH315-55 laptop prerelease. Btw, the PH315-55 is fully compatible with Win-11, you should be using Win-11 OS with this laptop and NOT Win-10 as the ram below is fully compatible with Win-11 also, as its been tested with Win-11 also.

    Test Compatible Components
This computer’s compatibility is tested and verified by Acer’s internal testing department. All of its system functions are tested under Windows® 10 and Windows ® 11 environment.

Refer to the following lists for components, adapter cards, and peripherals which have passed these tests. Regarding configuration, combination and test procedures, please refer to the Predator Helios 300 PH315-55 Compatibility Test Report released by the Acer Mobile System Testing Department.

    Microsoft® Windows® 10 and Windows® 11 Environment Test Predator Helios 300 PH315-55

If it still doesn't work, Crucial should make good on this if the upgrade kit is recommended in their ad. You might also want to run their scanner on your machine with the old modules just to make sure.
