Depends on the laptop model and country you live; in the Philippines the warranty is not revoked after you do routine maintenance like changing the battery or upgrading RAM but if you start tearing down a laptop, like some of the 2023 Swift Go 14 models that have the RAM modules mounted on the back of the motherboard, the warranty may be voided. You do run a small risk that your RAM upgrading may be used by Acer to deny a very expensive repair job under warranty, like a new motherboard 😉
