I have bought a Aspire 5 and have been using it for a month now. And have been facing an issue when it comes to the speakers. The volume is too low even on 100%. When using headphones or earbuds. the volume works fine with as low as 4%. But speakers it doesnt do good. Is it a driver issue because all my drivers are updated. Or a hardware issue because i just bought it a month ago.

The Aspire 5 a515-58M (2023) has the same cheap Realtek ALC255 audio chip as the a515-54 (2019) model with notoriously poor audio quality and very low sound volume reported in 2020 by many users in this community. The W11 RTK drivers are newer than the 2019 W10 RTK drivers but that is about it. I have the a515-54G laptop, and it took me up to W11 to get it to a level that you no longer needed a headset. I uninstalled the Realtek audio driver with DDU and the Intel audio driver with Device Manager both in Safe Mode. I made sure internet was working and rebooted, Windows11 then installed the audio drivers boosting the audio loudness, instead of 100% I now could reduce the volume slider to 80%. When playing back MP3 music with Windows Media Player, I also activate (right click) the equalizer (in Media Player) that can boost the volume up to 12db. Embedded players like YouTube still required a headset but my browser Edge improved audio for embedded players in version 22H2. In the RTK Audio Console-Speakers, use Movies not music as that is a bit louder and you have to tweak the sound settings in in W11, enable all sound enhancements.

When you do that install the RTK Audio Console from the Windows Store called "Realtek Audio Control", as the version on Acer Support may not open.
