My screen has a bad flicker. It also happens when I open Task Manager, so it is a display adapter problem. The only way I could solve it was to delete the Intel HD Graphics 5500 driver and software. Now it runs with the basic Microsoft driver software. Intel.com indicates the Graphics 5500 has been modified by Acer and to contact Acer. Will there be a patch for this?

That is happening with all the Intel CPU integrated graphics drivers, Intel has stopped all their cpu intergrade graphics drivers from being updated to their newest driver versions, as they cause flickering and all sorts of problems and that is why you are getting the flickering affects with the last HD5500 graphics driver Version 15.40.7.64.4279 – dated: 9/1/2015 if you are running that, stick to the oem Acer provided Intel graphics driver Version 10.18.15.4248 - dated: 2015/08/18 as it works 100% and you don't need anything else, your E5-571P laptop is not a gaming laptop and if it ever needed a graphics update then Acer or windows would have provided a newer version.

This flickering screen problem is very common, as it happened to my screen and other on this forum, my Nitro AN515-56 laptop that has the i7-11370H/RTX3050 and its Iris® Xe integrated graphics running the last running the last Version 31.0.101.4952 - dated: 11/1/2023 graphics driver, my laptop screen was flickering like crazy but once I went back to the Acer oem Intel initial graphics driver the Version: 27.20.100.9664 – dated 6/1/2021 the problem stopped and I had NO screen flickering at all. So, I suggest that you do the same, but I don't think that Acer or Intel or Windows will do a patch if they haven't done one yet and by 2023.
