Hello! I have an Acer Aspire 5 A515-45-R5EP and I want to add another SSD on it. It already has one of 512 GB. Now I am curious if there is any available slot for another one and also if you can help me with the best valued SSD for it (I would like 1 TB to add). Thank you!!!

  • Hello! You can install a 2.5" SSD in place of the HDD:

Yep, the Acer Aspire 5 A515-45-R5EP does have a second M.2 slot, so you don’t need to remove your existing 512GB SSD. You can just drop in another one and the system will recognize it.
If you’re looking for a good 1TB option (value + performance), these are solid picks:

    • Crucial P3 Plus 1TB → budget-friendly and reliable.
    • WD Blue SN570 1TB → really good balance of price and speed.
    • Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1TB → costs a bit more but has excellent performance and durability.

Just make sure to grab an M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD (not the SATA type), since that’s what your Aspire 5 supports for best speed.
So yeah, you’re safe to upgrade – you’ll end up with 512GB + 1TB together.
