Randomly while I was using my laptop the screen suddenly turned black and the charging light just turned off. No matter what I tried it just won't charge nor turn on. Anyone know a fix to this?

Tell us the Nitro5 model you have like AN515-58-78. The first things to check are the power adapter and DC barrel plug/port and the remaining battery capacity. If you think these are in good condition and the battery is recent do the following (note if the laptop is new and still under warranty, bring/send it to Acer Services in your country, do not open the laptop as this may void the warranty).
Check if there is a small pinhole in the back of your laptop (with a battery sign) and stick a pin in that hole till you feel it click (micro switch), keep pressing the pin for a few seconds. This will reset the battery. If no pinhole or this did not fix the problem, try this:

Power drain + CMOS reset: Open the back of the laptop and disconnect the battery cable from the motherboard. Locate the CMOS module (with 2 twisted wires Red and Black) and remove the coin battery. Shorten the +/- contacts inside the CMOS capsule for 2 seconds with a bended paperclip and put the coin battery back with the + sign facing up, close the CMOS capsule. Unseat and reseat the DDR4 modules, make sure that the modules are firmly in the slots. Next, press the Power Button on the keyboard for 10-15 seconds after that reconnect the battery cable to the motherboard. Close the laptop, plug-in the adapter and try to boot.
