unit is going Very hot while using Spin SP114
I've got a Spin SP114 and I wondered if these machines actually had fans ? Mine is too hot to rest on knee when using, whether plugged in or on battery. Doesn't seem to get hot when charging if not in use. I found one of these monitoring apps and I can see max temperature in the cores was like 95 degrees C. Is this normal?
I've tried to export the report but it doesn't seem to be very readable but I'll have another go

Yes, the Acer Spin 1 SP114-31N has a CPU Fan. Maybe you should clean the fan or replace it ($19)

Thanks. Had a look under the lid, not obvious to me where the fan is, didn’t want to meddle much further. When looking online did seem the manual for this model showed a “grill” underneath for cooling which I don’t seem to have.

Yes, you are correct, the SP114-31N model does not have a CPU fan, instead it has that very large copper heat sink that's used to dissipate the heat. It looks like when they designed it, they were going to use a fan (under that large area next to the '5') but then decided it wasn't needed. There doesn't seem to be anywhere on the motherboard to actually plug a fan in, so it can't be added retroactively.
It's possible there's some place on there a fan connector could be added, but it's not obvious to me…
