I can't fit any screws in the stand off of the m2_3 slot, the hole is too small, any ideas as to why?

Which M.2 slot do you refer to?

I believe the screws are all the same, M2x3mm with the wide head found on M.2 screws. #20 is the first SSD slot, #8 the second and #11 is the WLAN slot. All three shown in the image have screws already in place, but that may not be the case in what actually ships from the factory.

I'm referring to slot number 8, when I need to screw in the standoff, it's not possible because the hole is not big enough to fit a screw. I tried the screws that fit the others two and that still didn't work, it might just be different when it ships but in that case, what screw would I actually need because there are no manuals that help me with the issue either.

What is the exact ssd you’re trying to install?

The Predator PO3-640 M.2 SSD securing screws are a special screw THEY ARE NOT A NORMAL SCREW they have to be an M2* 3mm YOU CAN'T JUST USE ANY SCREW! These M.2 SSD securing screws are all the same for every M.2 2280 or 2242 or 2240 size drives or cards, so please be aware of that!

If you look at the PO3-640 mobo diagram above, the M.2 slots are as follows:

    1. SLAVE M.2 SSD - #8 - M2_2280_2 - M.2 (2280 & 2242) slot for PCIe / SATA SSD & Intel Optane memory with PCIe Gen4x4 signal co-layout.
    2. WLAN/BT SLOT - #11 - M2_2230 - M.2 (2230 & 1630) slot combine with PCIe and USB2.0 and CNVi for WLAN
    3. USE THIS SLOT FOR THE BOOT M.2 SSD - #20 - M2_2280_1 - M.2 (M.2 2280) for SSD with PCIe Gen4x4 signal.

Acer listed M.2 SSD screws and torque specs for the PO3-640

These are all the screws used in the PO3-640 and the M.2 SSD screws and WLAN card screws should be the same, just measure the diameter of the mobo female thread.

If the hole is too small for a normal M.2 M2x3mm screw, then perhaps the screw is already in there and you are trying to put another into the Phillips head? :) Things are so small it's sometimes tough to see…
