Hello everyone! I want to upgrade the ram in my pc, i currently have 16GB of ram, i can't understand if i have some of this ram soldered in the mobo or if ll my ram is in the stick (in the photo it says 16GB). Also which one should i buy? I think i need DDR4 3200MT/s but i want 32GB, is it possible o there is a max capacity? (this one maybe? https://www.amazon.it/Crucial-CT32G4SFD832A-Memoria-Portatile-260-Pin/dp/B07ZLC7VNH/ref%3Dsr_1_5?keywords=crucial+32gb+ddr4-3200+sodimm&sr=8-5 ). Also if i want to install an SSD, but i don't have the "caddy" ( i think this is the name, sorry but english isn't my first language) can i just stick it on the frame and plug a sata cable? Finally, is there something else that can be upgraded, like the screen, keyboard, trackpad or gpu? (I have nvme installed by default, and i want to keep it as it is).

Thank you very much!

    Hi,

Yes, I think you don't have a onboard memory(soldered), anyway, install CPU-z, run it and find out whether you have onboard memory by looking at SPD tab, most probably, you don't have it but it's better to check with the CPU-z, if you don't have onboard memory, 16GB is the maximum you can install in this laptop, so you can not upgrade further.

    https://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html

As for the 2.5" SSD, yes, get the SATA cable and use some double sided tape to secure the SSD to the main frame, yes keep the M.2 NVMe SSD as the boot drive.

If you have a HD panel(1366x768), you can upgrade to a FHD panel(1920x1080) with one of the following:

    NV156FHM-N42

    NV156FHM-N43

    NV156FHM-N63

What if I have an "Acer Aspire A315-55G-77TE" laptop. I want to add another RAM, but when I open the laptop lid, I can't find the second RAM slot. It says in the task manager that 1 of the 2 sockets is being used. In the cpu-z applications it is written that there are two channels. AIMDA64 also says that there are two channels. Maybe the second RAM slot is located on the back of the board? If anything, the processor in the laptop is Intel® Core™ i7-10510U Processor. A powerful processor, but I don't know how to add another RAM.
