Acer Aspire E 15 E5-576G-5762 MX150 dedicated GPU not being recognized by Windows or Nivida drivers

Had a question about a laptop I bought off ebay a few days ago. It for some reason doesn't recognize the dedicated mx150 gpu, I have tried everything from downloading all the drivers off acers site, Resetting windows on the orginal ssd that came with the system, to installing windows like 3 times on different ssd's. When I try to install any drivers it tells me there is no Nivida graphics card in the system, Windows device manager doesn't show the MX150 at all either, only the Uhd 620 integrated gpu, I even took the laptop apart and literally looked at the gpu on the board while changing the thermal paste. I have worked with computers for several years, mostly that being desktops and im just stumped at this point. Also the ebay seller offered for me to return it or keep it for half price. But wanting to figure out if the gpu is messed up before making that decision. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks in advance for any help.

What I would do is to first uninstall all the Nvidia drivers with the DUU (Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) download version 18.0.6.9) and follow its guide to uninstalling all drivers, then install the new Nvidia driver for the MX150 gpu, download this driver from the direct link here: Version: 546.01 WHQL (Release Date: 2023.10.31) and if all these steps don’t work then that is a sign that your laptops Aspire E5-576G-5762 NVidia MX150 dedicated gpu has burned out and its only working on the integrated graphics. This is a common thing when the dedicated graphics burn out as the laptop only works on the integrated cpu graphics, and you cannot install the Nvidia gpu graphics driver.

If it was me, I would return the laptop and get a Win-11 type laptop as these older laptops are obsolete and can only be used as a spare laptop or as a workshop VM with an eMaual on them, like I'm using my Aspire V3-571G laptop for. As a damaged dedicated gpu unfortunately can’t be replace as they are not available, so you need to replace the mainboard.

If you want to keep this laptop. see the replacement mainboard below, so ask the eBay seller to refund like USD $70 + shipping off the initial price of the laptop amount for the new mainboard and shipping, as that is all that you should pay for this laptop, its up to you? Don't know where you are located, but here is a replacement mainboard that I randomly searched on the web and this came up on eBay, from Raleigh, North Carolina, United States "Acer Aspire E5-576G i5-8250U 1.60Ghz Motherboard NVIDIA MX150 DAZAARMB6E0 2088" for USD $70,00 plus shipping, which is pretty cheap, and they are very easy to replace. Good luck and hope this helps you out, let us know how you go.

Thank you so much for the reply. I have used DDU already and forgot to mention it in my original post, but it obviously didn't work either, so i might just keep the laptop and do what you suggested and get a new board at some point or just get another laptop. If I take the half money back option, I will only be out around $60 USD, which is probably what I will do, because after further testing everything else seems to be working fine with the laptop. But thanks again for the reply and support, very much appreciated.
