I got a nitro computer from someone before I got it from them they attempted some kind of system reset. When I got it it would say charge battery to continue update well the battery wouldn’t charge so I got a new battery put it in and computer would come on to a blue screen allowing to select windows 10 at volume 3 when you click it it would say to log into administrator account but there is no administrator account and to log into other account but there wouldn’t be any accounts listed and I could get it to cut back off. Now it won’t even cut on all the way it cuts on to acer screen and then restarts and will keep doing this over and over. I can go to bios menu and reset configurations and try to get it to cut on that way but it will just cut off and cut back on and do the same thing. Did I waste my money on this thing or what? I just want to use the thing. How can I just wipe the whole thing and start from scratch? If possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Computer also will not work unless it is plugged in either since I’ve put the new battery in… not sure why either I’m pretty sure I didn’t buy a bad battery so I’m not sure what the issue is. Thanks

Do the "Reset this PC losing all files" either in Windows10 if you can do that or when you see the Acer logo after booting press Alt+F10.

WindowsRE will start and you will see the Troubleshoot menu with advanced and the Reset this PC option. When even that does not work you can do the same with a Windows Recovery flash drive that you can make on another W10 PC (Google this forum).

Alternatively, do I clean install of Windows10: https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/1950-clean-install-windows-10-a.html

when I do alt and f10 the only thing that pops up is command prompt and says I don’t have an administrator account on the pc and it says forgot password or don’t see your account says you must be signed in as administrator to use some repair and restore tools if you don’t have password for accounts you can restart to try and sign into windows to manage user accounts and had a restart button and no other options. So I’m guessing my only option is to make a recovery disk like you mentioned?

  • Hello! Have you tried restoring the bios settings? Do you know if Windows Update tried to update the BIOS?
