Hello,

I have an AN515-57 that when I power on the keyboard lights up but the screen remains black (doesn't turn on at all). I've run through the YouTubes and checked for a clean RAM card and unplugged/plugged in the battery and BIOS battery but nothing works. I have also tried the CTRL+SHIFT+Windows+B with no results. Any one have another idea I can try?

Thanks,

Brandon

Check the eDP cable which connects the screen to the mainboard, check the plugs at both ends if their pins are not shorted or the plug is lose as that is a common problem when the screen doesn't come on with the symptoms that you are getting, if its not that then its the actual screen that needs replacing. Make sure that before you unplug the eDP cable you DISCONNECT THE MAIN BATTERY AS THIS IS A MUST DO as if you don't do that, you can damage your laptop permanently, especially if you change the screen with the battery connected.

These are the parts if you need to replace the eDP cable or the screen for your Nitro AN515-57

With the Screen, you need to look at your oem screen's Vendor part number like below, the screen fitted to your AN515-57 should be a 144Hz refresher rate screen, but these laptops can be upgraded to a higher resolution of 2560x 1440 and a refresher rate of 165Hz screen that I suggest that you upgrade to, if the screen needs replacing, the below highlighted 144Hz and 165Hz refresher rate screens are the screens fitted to this laptop:
