Hi. I've got a 2015 Acer Aspire E5-572g. Worked great until a couple of weeks ago when suddenly it turned off when watching YouTube. Tried turning it on again but it had problems booting up. There are 3 situations I've encountered. First, when I press the power button the laptop turns on, the fan turns on and spins for a while and both the battery and power LEDs turn on, the screens turn on for a few seconds, but it won't boot. Then it turns off. Waited for a while then I tried again. This time it starts, and it shows that there is no boot drives available. I thought my SSD was gone so I tried again and the same. I bought a cheap SSD and tried again. Once again, I encountered the first situation. I've waited for about half an hour and tried for about 20-30 times and surprisingly it turned on. Now that was a surprise. Installed windows and everything worked great until I turned off my laptop. The next day the same situation. It won't boot. Tried for a dozen times, heard my second drive which is an HDD turning on and off in a disturbing manner then finally it turned on. If I don't turn the laptop off it works great. When I restart or put on sleep it works fine after that. Shutting it down makes it hard to turn it back on. The battery and charging port seem to be working great. I've read more threads online and it might be the bios battery. Can that be the problem?
