How do I make a recovery file for this, I want the recovery disks so I do not have to download everything.

Or how do I re-install Windows 11, this came with home but I have a pro licence. The win 11 iso does not have the storage drivers, does anyone know were I can get them please?

(When I boot my iso it finds no drives)

Thanks

Paul

I found the only way I could do this,

I downloaded the drivers already for a new install, decided I lost nothing in a new clean install anyway,

On my USB boot drive for Windows 11 pro I added the Intel RST .ini files and the .ini wifi files. when I got to the drive options I loaded both drivers and my drive came to life, the wifi also was enabled (as required by W11) and the clean install went well.

All seems to be running great for now and it did solve my issues.

Thanks for the advice and input.

Search Windows start menu "care center". Click to open AcerCareCenter near top of menu. Follow directions under Recovery Management section to make a recovery boot stick.

Was the WinPro installation media, such as a USB stick, prepared from the iso for a UEFI bootstrapper and GPT partitioned boot drive ? You may have to set and save a BIOS supervisor password, enable the F12 USB boot option, and disable secure boot.

Thanks Jack, it still only gives me windows recovery disk options so I lose all the Acer parts.

I would be more interested in a storage driver now and boot from a clean USB drive.

The AcerCareCenter should give you the option of Creating a Factory Default USB Backup option from the hidden factory recovery partition (do NOT erase this partition with any clean Windows install). The hidden partition includes all the original factory Acer drivers, apps, and some bloatware etc.

The hidden partition can also be accessed for factory reset using the ALT+F10 cold boot factory recovery method if an OS won't boot from either an external or internal boot drive.

All the factory Win11 drivers/updates/apps for this PHN16-71 neo model can be found on this link. Some of them might not be fully compatible with Win11Pro especially some proprietary Acer apps that interface with the BIOS firmware inside the OS environment (for example, PredatorSense.

Thanks again Jack, no option which you mention in my CareCenter, only takes me to windows options.

will continue to look in the meantime!

The Windows options should create a recovery stick of your current factory-installed setup as it stands right now.

The ALT+F10 cold boot method should take your system back to the way it was the first time you turned it on after taking it out of the box.

@JackE does installing windows 11 from recovery media completely remove the old windows installation from the computer?

Hi Muhil, the recovery creation does not take any ACER or additional info, it is just a windows recovery app, from Microsoft.

The CareCenter on my Predator does not have the make recovery disk from Acer either.

I understand your perspective and I tried it, it kept failing, I even tried it with a different storage device and it only had the system files, I am happy with my outcome thank you

Congrats. Thanks for reporting back. WinPro installation must've been set up for an AHCI SATA mode boot drive which is actually preferred if you ever decide to multi-boot. At the moment, Intel's RST & VMD modes only seem to work properly inside the Windows environment.
