My Aspire-3 obviously has an issue with the plug-in as I measure 19 V over the plug. With a lot of issues (turning the plug and pulling it out a bit) the connection restores. But it gets more and more annoying. My serie# is NXHLYEH00BXXXX

Try another adapter with identical DC barrel plug that fits perfectly in the DC port, you should feel a click when the pin is fully inserted in the port. Or get a second spare adapter (around $30) on the internet but make sure the plug is 100% compatible with your laptop DC port. Also consider bringing the laptop with the adapter to Acer Services in your country to check the adapter plug and/or replace the DC port.

Google "A317-51" "charger" for vendors who ship replacement chargers to your location. About $25usd.

Also check to make sure the slider contacts in the laptop jack is visible as shown in the images below so as to make good contact with the charger plug outer barrel contact. If not visible, you can try to hook them with a toothpick and bend them toward the center pin contact.
