Does anyone know how I can load bios on an acer ex215-52 model via flash stick?

My laptop yesterday refused to power on, I then did a power drain. After doing that it was able to turn on but now with just a black screen, with not acer splash screen and it restarts after a minute or 2 of turning on.

I read some forum whereby they stated it might need a bios reload if it presents such symptoms.

Typically when the BIOS is that corrupted the CMOS chips will need to be reflashed, a USB BIOS install won't work. If you want to try it anyway:

With the crisis disk inserted into your USB port and the system fully powered off, press and hold the Fn and Esc keys then turn it on. Continue holding the two keys until after you hear the fan spin up to full speed. You can then release the keys. If it hasn't completed the BIOS update in 5 minutes the process has failed. You can try removing the system battery, wait a half hour or so and reconnect it then retry the process. If it fails again you will have to send the laptop in to a service center so they can reflash the chip.

Thanks for the response. I might as well budget for a new motherboard if the bios is that gone to a point whereby the chip needs to be re-flashed.

Great to hear! Sometimes it will work and sometimes it's just too screwed up. You came out on the lucky side of that equation. :)
